If you grew up having watched Salem’s Lot, you know exactly the moment we’re talking about, and chances are you still remember how terrifying it was; at bedtime, you ensured the curtains were closed with the duvet wrapped tightly around your neck as part of some sort of DIY anti-vampire defence system.
